The Class 6-8 North American truck manufacturers, International Truck & Engine Corporation, Mack Trucks, Inc; PACCAR, Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America, also are members of ELVS.
Freightliner, a subsidiary of Daimler EAPP Americas, is covered under its parent company’s ELVS membership as are any Class 6-8 trucks manufactured by ELVS members or their subsidiaries.
Class 6-8 medium and heavy-duty trucks have gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWRs) above 19,500 pounds. Examples of vehicles is this category include, but are not limited to: most refuse trucks, large dump trucks, tanker trucks, large flatbeds, cranes, concrete mixers, and, especially, highway truck tractors. |
